Middle Cove
Middle Cove feels like the North Shore’s last hidden gem. Whilst there are other suburbs people don’t really know, Middle Cove seems to completely slip the radar of even the most ardent North Shore lovers. This may have something to do with it largely being undeveloped until the late 1950s. Part of this was the development of the iconic homes along The Quarterdeck which were built in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright’s organic architecture.
Middle Cove, named for being between the two coves (Castle Cove and strangely Crag Cove) offers unbelievable value compared to nearby suburbs. It also offers the same beauty, natural beauty and access to great public schools that the rest of the North Shore gives you. It even gives you some amazing Middle Harbour views.

Middle Cove effectively is a hidden gem, but it also has many bushland tracks and hiking trails that you can discover at your own pace. It also offers the same when it comes to boating, kayaking and sailing spots. On top of this, Middle Cove also has amazing lookouts with panoramic views over the water and bushland.
-
Middle Cove has a strikingly low population for suburbs in Sydney. Within that population, it is almost 80% families whilst couples and single households make up the remaining population.
-
Middle Cove has a large array of native flora and fauna that is a priority to preserve. Council works hard to keep this and there are sustainability initiatives in place to achieve it. Middle Cove, like many surrounding suburbs, also has areas that are bushfire and flood risk zones.
-
Serenity. Honestly, if you are looking for a quiet life in the bush, surrounded by nature, Middle Cove is your ideal location. If you enjoy outdoor activities, Middle Cove is it for you too.
